I also saw an other interesting phenomenon in AB, skilled PvPers that really suck at AB (the complete other way round). I grouped with 3 other ppl that had titles like 'Mighty Hero' and the like. Those people played TA, GvG and HA and that kind of stuff, but they didnt have a clou how to play an AB match. They did't stay together as a group to begin with and they didn't really capture any shrines either. They just ran around the map killing stuff. They were good at killing stuff and they didn't die, i had to give them that, but it didn't win us the match. The luxons capped all shrines and they just kept killing people at random. With a team like that I could have cleared every shrine in no-time, but they felt more like annihilating other players at will. Skilled players aren't everything (it sure helps tho), AB is a unique PvP format with its own rules and builds, just like the other arenas. If you don't accept that your leetness isn't going to save you :P

Why the hell should you play AB then? I told them before we started to stick together and cap, I even advertised for a capping group over the local chat (and i was running a SF nuker, a CAPPING build). If people really want AB to become challenging why not play it by the rules? else people should stop their whining and play something else, or form a group themselves. It's hard to absorb for me that seasoned players call AB scrub PvP and at the same moment behave like scrubs themselves. Noobs giving away a match sounds more logical then seasoned players giving away a match, it's almost trolling and it doesn't make any sense. I've played with faction farming guilds (Those that own towns) dedicated to AB and it's so much fun because they take it seriously and try to play as efficient as possible. Your post is as ignorant as it is lame, if you don't like AB, stay clear of it. It's one of the things that will improve the quality of the game considerably, apart from mending wammos becoming extinct...

I didn't call you a scrub dude, can't remember seeing you in the team I was talking about, I called you ignorant because you pull me out of context. I don't know who you are and what your skill level is and I don't really care much either, I'm not here to display my E-penis. I only want people to play the game the way it's supposed to when I invite them in my team. You stated in another post somewhere that playing with morons spoils the fun of playing for you. Well it does for me as well. If someone brags to me about being in top 200 GvG battles I expect them to live up to that, makes sense, doesn't it? It actually surprises me that you were guild leader of that guild since you don't seem to like AB very much. Try to understand me because I do enjoy it. Maybe I'll get bored of it someday, I'll just move on then, no problem.

moral of the story.... both sides have total dumbasses :P
I've played kurz and luxon, both of them have had the A/E spamming flare.
It's either they have there own build (something crazy as hell.) Or they copy a build off observer mode.

I think AB would be improved if they could allow you to form your own group of 12 (or 8 for Aspenwood & Jade Quarry). It would allow full guilds to do combat and could be another interesting way to bring new interest to it and up the competition.
The implications of this, however, would be elitism as people not of pvp guilds would probably have a more difficult time entering AB.
Dunno, but as it stands, the only redeeming factor with the state of AB is that one can run builds utilizing skills they rarely use because they're not accepted in most organized play. AB and RA is the only place where I'm allowed to play a smiter.

LOL or thunderclap ele with lightning damage bow. never had more fun :P
I think elitism wouldnt be too bad, u could make 2 formats coexisting maybe, that would be sexy. I see smiters in TA sometimes btw, theyre kinda nasty too.

ABs are just a little more "noob friendly". Wheras in a RA match, if you have a frenzy/mending/heal sig wammo, your going to lose 9/10 (unless youv got one helluva monk, or 3 SF spikers), in ABs, haveing 1 or 2 stupid people dosent hurt as much...what hurts is when people who are too used to RAs (or who just dont get it) ignore capping and just make a big 'ol mob and fight the entire match...
Anyways, I would say that both sides have their proportions of noobs, but again, theres just more kurziks, and that means more noobs overall.

Its funny cause I typed out a build similar to that before AB on luxon side and they kicked me in less than two seconds.
